Cheesy Onion Bread

  • 1 (7-8 oz.) Pkg. Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 6 oz. Butter; softened
  • 4 Green Onions
  • 3 tsp Garlic, minced
  • Sea Salt and Black Pepper to taste
  • 1 Loaf Ciabatta Bread, cut in half horizontally OR 4 Ciabatta Sandwich Rolls, separated

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Combine the cheese and butter in a food processor and process until smooth. It will still be pretty clumpy, so you may need to scrape down the sides of the processor.

Add the green onions and garlic and pulse for a few seconds just until the onion bits are small and well incorporated. Using a spatula, spread the mixture over the cut side of each piece of bread.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese mixture is slightly bubbly and golden brown. If working with a ciabatta loaf, cut into 1-inch strips with a serrated knife to serve. Serve the bread warm as the perfect compliment to any meal! Try to eat just one piece; I DARE you!
