- 1 TBSP Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1 1/2 TBSP Sugar
- 2 TBSP Water
- 1 C Skim Milk
- Splash of Vanilla, Almond or Cinnamon Extract (for a little extra flair...if desired)
Combine the water, cocoa powder and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly for 1-2 minutes or until all lumps have dissolved and the mixture thickens to a syrupy consistency.
Once thickened, add the milk. Reduce heat to medium-low and stir constantly to prevent burning. Once the liquid is heated through remove from heat. Carefully pour or ladle into a mug. Top with whipped cream or marshmallows and add cinnamon, cocoa powder or mini chocolate chips to the top for a little something extra!
