- One Chai Tea bag (decaffeinated if preferred)
- 1-1 1/2 C Water (I usually fill the mug I'm using with water--leaving some room for the milk instead of measuring cup)
- 1-2 TBSP Skim Milk (more or less depending on your taste)
- 2 tsp Honey (you can eyeball it)
- Fat-Free Whipped Topping and Cinnamon (optional)
Bring the water to a boil either on the stove top or in the microwave. When the water boils, remove from heat and pour into a mug (if it's not already in one from the microwave method). Place the Chai Tea bag into the mug making sure that is submerged and that the tab remains on the outside of the mug. Place a small plate or saucer over the top of the mug to seal in the steam to steep the tea.
Leave tea covered for 5-8 minutes. The longer it steeps the stronger the tea will be. After enough time has passed, carefully remove the plate and the tea bag.
Add the honey and milk and stir to combine. If you're feeling a little crazy, add a swirl of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon to the top of your Chai Tea Latte. Sip slowly and ENJOY!
